Second year for the cascade hops and they are coming up strong.

The Cascade hops have broken through. They seem much thicker in this second year.
I harvested the remaining hops this evening. Hopefully there will be more next year. I’m going to let the vines up for awhile longer before I cut them down. I’m also going to take some cuttings and try to get those started inside. If they take I’ll put them in pots on the patio next year.
I was getting concerned that my hop plants were not going to come up. On Saturday one of them broke through, and as of this morning three of the four plants have busted out of the ground. I’ve read that they grow quickly once started.
